5 Superfoods Brain Power Balls

These balls are a wonderful bit sized dessert thats make ahead friendly and requires no cook time.  Whipping together 5 wonderful superfood ingredients with a few other items.   Oatmeal, chia seeds, hemp seeds, almond butter, and cacao nibs combine with a few other great ingredients to bring together nature's sweetness with a fiber packed bite size dessert!  Get the recipe and enjoy this great little energy boost any time of the day.
12 Servings: Recipe Yield is about 36 Balls
  • 1/2 cup Rolled Oats
  • 2 tablespoons Chia Seeds ⁄
  • 1/8 teaspoon Kosher Salt
  • 12 ounces Medjool Dates pitted⁄
  • 3/4 cup Almond Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup Dark Chocolate Chips ⁄
  • 1/2 cup Cacao Nibs
  • 2 tablespoons Hemp Seeds
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  1. Combine oats, coconut, hemp seeds, chia seeds, and salt in food processor until finely ground.
  2. Add dates, nut butter, and vanilla extract utnil it begins to form a ball.
  3. Add chocolate chips and cacao nibs and pulse 10-15 times (to incorporate).
  4. Roll dough into 1/2" balls and place on parchment lined sheetpan and freeze for 1 hour.
  5. Transfer to storage container and store in freezer for long term or in fridge for up to 7 days.
Nutrition per 3 balls:
​290 calories, 33 g carbs, 16 g fat 5.3 g sat fat, 5.7 g protein, 1/2 servings fruit, 7.5 g fiber, 54 mg sodium
