How to prepare for a metabolism test?
Do not eat or drink anything for at least 4 hours prior to your scheduled appointment (water is OK!)
Do not exercise for a least 4 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
Do not consume caffeine or nutrition supplements 4 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
Do not use nicotine for up to 1 hour prior to your scheduled appointment.
You should still take any prescribed medications as directed - contact us if you have questions.
What happens during the test?
After being seated at rest for at least 15 minutes, you will simply breathe normally into the device for about 6-10 minutes.
Don't worry, you are breathing into a disposable single use sterilized mouthpiece and single use nose clip.
We highly recommend you bring something to listen to (music or a podcast)!
After the measurement is done, you should have your RMR reading on the spot and we will send you a follow up document with total results and a personalized macronutrient plan to match your goals!
